We had the pleasure of working with Anna Claire in June of 2020, after we had to cancel our traditional May wedding due to the pandemic. We decided to elope rather than postpone and ended up doing so very last minute and with minimal preparations. Anna Claire was super flexible and accommodated us the best she could.

We had talked to her on the phone before the big day, but had not met her in person or “virtually”. The morning of our wedding was the first time we saw her. She was very personable and easy going. My then fiancé and I immediately felt comfortable around her!

She took absolutely beautiful pictures of our wedding day and was so discreet we almost forgot she was there! She provided occasional guidance and made suggestions, but was never intrusive or we never felt like the charm and romance of the day was broken or interrupted.

The results were incredibly candid, natural and romantic photographs, which is exactly what we were looking for. I feel I can relive the moments every time I look at them. She captured all the emotions and immortalized them. She did such a good job “documenting” the day that many family members and friends said they felt like they had witnessed our elopement first hand and not just through photos.

During the time she spent with us, Anna Claire also went above and beyond what we expected of her as a photographer. For example, she helped me get ready and buttoned up my dress, which was no easy task! She also kindly offered to carry around a bottle of champagne and a heavy rug we were going to use as “prop”- in addition to all of her gear! - while my fiancé and I hiked to our ceremony location.

Anna Claire was with us late the night of the wedding and, yet, somehow, the sneak peak were in my inbox when we woke up the next morning. We didn’t expect them and she must have worked very hard to get them out to us. It was a truly amazing touch. They made us so happy!

In the end, the pics came out gorgeous and she managed to make me feel and look beautiful. We received many many compliments on our photos. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Where do I start with this amazing gal!? Goodness. I could actually write a paper on her. AC will make all of your photograph dreams come true. The best part is, she isn’t just a photographer. AC did so much more for us than just take pictures and send them to us. She served my husband and me so well at our wedding. She got us drinks, helped me to the bathroom, offered to get us coffee, made a timeline for the day, and more. And this was just the day of!! She called us so many times and helped us with things before the wedding! She spends time with you. She answers questions. She encourages you. She helps you.

She was such a light to everyone at our wedding. She is so adaptable as well. She went with the flow of the day and captured all that we wanted. She is the most genuine and unique photographer I have ever worked with. We filled out questionnaires for her so she could get to know us better before she took pictures of us. This speaks volumes about who she is! She really does want to capture who YOU are. She doesn’t photograph for herself, but for others.

She is so sweet and lead everyone incredibly well at the wedding. We had many pictures family requested and she did it all so well. She did such a great job at keeping people happy, keeping things organized, and on time. I can’t imagine what I’d do without her on our special day. She’s so so so much more than a photographer. But, on that note- have you seen her pictures!?!?! They really are the best thing you’ll see. There’s nothing out there like AC’s pictures. Just. Book. Her.

We (my Bride and I) seriously cannot recommend Anna Claire enough. We were drawn to her because of her incredible skill and her selfless support of our ideas. She weaves flexibility into her schedule in order to host adventure sessions for her clients at some of the most beautiful locations in the country, which allows for an extremely fun and personal experience while capturing engagement photos or portraits with your partner. She also supported us in our decision to have an unconventional wedding, and she helped capture it through her great dedication and thoughtfulness as a photographer. She is professional but also ridiculously fun, and did whatever it took to take care of us throughout the whole experience, from wedding advice to shared conversation over a meal of breakfast burritos to carrying 6 different cameras on our wedding day. The photos are honest and beautiful and romantic and more than anything we imagined. Choosing Anna Claire as a photographer was easily the best decision we made for our intimate wedding, aside from choosing to marry each other (obviously). We cannot recommend her enough, truly!!!

She made us look so freaking cool I’m not sure how it’s even real. During this shoot, we ran around, cased warm sun lighting, chugged beer, biked, and the best part of it all was that it didn’t feel like a photo shoot at all. Joe and I were so nervous about this shoot but once AC took control and made us do things that WE were comfortable with and loved to do, it felt so normal. She tunes in with the kind of couple you are and what brings out the best in you both, and she enhances that in her work. Nothing is ever the same with her clients, and I can tell you this because I’ve seen her shoot AND I’ve been her client. She customizes her shoots to fit YOU, not the people before you or what she wants you to look like, just you and your raw, special self.

AC was such an amazing individual to work with - from our first consultation where she listened so closely to get to know to us on a personal level, to being down for ANYTHING, and finally: to being able to see her amazing work in the most timely manner imaginable. Her sneak peeks were FAST, I don’t know how she does it.

Above all else, she is just plain FUN! She has a quality that helps you feel comfortable and yourself around her. If y’all are looking for someone who will listen to your story and then emulate it amazingly into photographs look no further. We had so much fun!

AC's attention to detail and genuine love for humans shines in her work. Every time I look at photos from my wedding day I relive the entire day moment-to-moment because AC captured the energy on camera, it is palpable through the photos. She is flexible: our wedding went from an elopement session in Big Bend State Park to an intimate wedding of 30 at the Chisos Mountains Lodge In BB National Park & AC rolled with the flow & helped us narrow down choices and make a schedule. The ceremony was captured beautifully but my favorite part about working with AC was the sunrise photo shoot she planned for us the morning of the ceremony, and the portrait session near the Window Trail overlook right after the ceremony was over. Both of these sessions were incredibly grounding on a day where so much was nerve-driven. AC created a calm, comfortable atmosphere that not only resulted in really special time with my husband, but gorgeous photos to go along with it that we will cherish forever. AC's passion for the land that she shoots on is incredibly inspiring as well. My husband and I had the great privilege of shooting our engagement photos and our wedding photos with Anna Claire. When we found Anna Claire’s work on Instagram, we knew immediately we wanted to do a session with her. The warmth and whimsical nature of her photography drew us in immediately. Additionally, I was impressed by her deep love for Big Bend. She knows the area like the back of her hand, and there was no better person to take us exploring through the desert and capture amazing engagement photos at the same time. I seriously can not recommend AC enough!!! We had the best time getting to hang with her during our shoot. What I really loved is it felt like we were hanging out with a new friend and she took the time to genuinely get to know us! Not to mention she is SUCH a talented photographer. I’m so glad I finally got a chance to shoot with her and will no doubt want to use her for any future photography needs I have later on. TRULY THE KINDEST AND MOST COMFORTABLE HUMAN BEING TO SHOOT WITH. She shot my engagement shoot and after miscommunication on my part, we ended up an hour and a half away from each other at the time we were supposed to start shooting. She was so calm and told us to explore and stay right where we were and booked it to us. I could not say enough nice things!!!
